Child Support - Establishing and Modifying
Child support is not a static amount year after year - it is always modifiable by the court and there are many factors that might cause child support to go up or down. What does this mean? It means that once per year it is appropriate to be sure the child support figure is still the correct amount. Your LLP can help you collect the necessary information to run a current child support worksheet and can then help you take the steps to ask the other parent, and ultimately the court, to adjust the support number.
If you've never received child support from the other parent, your LLP can help you take the steps to establish a child support order. In some circumstances, it is possible to receive retroactive support from the other parent and even reimbursement for birthing expenses.
